To Create a Birthday Club or VIP Club yourself, just follow these steps:
- Obtain an SMS service provider to handle the text messaging. They will provide the phone number that you use in your campaigns. Fees vary by provider. (This is included in our charges.)
- Set up the SMS service provider platform to handle your campaigns. Instructions vary by provider. (The campaign platform setup is included in our charges.)
- Set up the Birthday Club campaign to be activated by a link in an ad. Set up the VIP Club campaign to be activated by keyword submission. (The campaign setups are included in our charges.)
- For the Birthday Club, you need to create the ad copy and place the ads, which are mostly on social media forums. Those forums will need to be set up for your business. (The ad creation is included in our charges.)
- The VIP Club is heavily dependent on in-house marketing material. You will need to create and produce all in-house marketing materials (table tents, posters, POS material, etc.) (This is included in our charges.)
- You need to have an email address and sign up for an autoresponder. There are some free autoresponders that provide for low-volume mailings. (Our software includes an autoresponder that will handle whatever volume you have.)
- You need to create some sort of automatic reminder and follow-up system that ties everything together. This is where our proprietary software really shines. It allows you to send text message and/or email reminders of upcoming birthdays. It will also allow you to send out follow-up text messages and reminders to help with customer retention and loyalty. We don’t know of another source for this, which is why our software was created. This is the backbone of our offering, and it’s all included in the low monthly fee.
Here’s the bottom line: Even if you’re willing to spend the hours it would take to do the reminder/follow-up system manually, which would involve looking through all the information every day and decide who to send things to and actually send out individual text messages and emails, you need to find someone who knows how to do all the rest of the above…or take the time to learn it yourself, then take the time to actually design the campaigns and all the supporting material, then manage the programs on a daily basis.
